Workshop on IoT for Nepal Held at SVI with UPV Experts

Workshop on IoT for Nepal at SVI, Kathmandu

On 22 July 2026, Dr. Manzoni and Dr. Blanc from the Computer Engineering Department of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Spain, visited Siddhartha Vanasthali Institute (SVI) in Kathmandu to lead a two-day workshop under the IoT for Nepal project.

IoT for Nepal is a UPV education initiative that opens new ways to teach and use technology in education by training teachers and pre-graduate students. The Kathmandu workshop brought together 6 teachers from SVI and 4 teachers travelling from Sindhuli — representing Sindhuli Academy (SA), Sindhuli Multiple Campus (SMC), and Sindhuli Community Technical Institute (SCTI). SVI, SA, SMC and SCTI are all partners of the NEWSTEP Capacity Building in Higher Education project, funded by the European Union.

NEWSTEP made this collaboration possible, creating new synergies for educational improvement across partner institutions. We are grateful to SVI for providing the space and resources to host the workshop.

The workshop is funded by the ADSIDEO programme of UPV’s International Cooperation Center, and by the MORELLINO project (CIPROM/2023/29 – GVA).
