Student-Led Blood Donation App: SMC Students Showcase Digital Innovation

SMC students presenting their student-led "Emergency Blood Provider" blood donation app initiative

As part of NEWSTEP’s work to build entrepreneurial and digital skills among students, a group of students at Sindhuli Multiple Campus (SMC) developed and presented a student-led mobile application concept, “Emergency Blood Provider,” designed to connect blood donors with people in need.

The students demonstrated their app during a project presentation, walking through the concept and its design on-screen to peers and mentors. The initiative reflects the growing digital and entrepreneurial capacity being nurtured among Nepalese partner institutions under the NEWSTEP project (Erasmus+ CBHE, Grant Agreement 101083210), which supports students in applying digital skills to real-world community needs.

Student-led initiatives like this one demonstrate how NEWSTEP’s capacity-building activities are inspiring practical, socially relevant innovation among the next generation of learners at partner institutions.
