Sindhuli Community Technical Institute (SCTI) marked the 22nd National Paddy Day with great enthusiasm, uniting instructors and trainees to honor the value of rice farming. Through hands-on activities, the event highlighted the role of paddy cultivation in ensuring food security and self-reliance.
The event supports several sustainability objectives under NEWSTEP’s Work Package 5: encouraging students toward paddy cropping to enhance zero hunger and food security (SDG 2), motivating agro-farming for sustainable income generation (SDG 1 and SDG 11), and developing teamwork skills among students.
Activities like this reflect NEWSTEP’s broader commitment to embedding sustainability into everyday learning — connecting classroom knowledge with practical, community-rooted action.
