Here is a roundup of recent highlights.<\/p>\n<h3>Business Plan Presentations<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newstep-nepal.edu.np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/SMC-BBA-Business-Plan-Presentation.jpeg\" alt=\"SMC BBA 5th semester student presenting a business plan\" style=\"max-width:100%;height:auto;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The BBA 5th Semester 18 students of Sindhuli Multiple Campus (SMC) confidently presented their business plans as part of their entrepreneurship learning activities. During the presentation, students explained their innovative business ideas, target market, marketing strategies, operational plans, and financial projections. They demonstrated their understanding of business planning through well-prepared slides and clear communication, while addressing questions from faculty members and classmates. The activity enhanced their presentation skills, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset, providing valuable practical exposure to transforming innovative ideas into viable business ventures.<\/p>\n<h3>Industrial Visit to Hetauda Industrial Area<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newstep-nepal.edu.np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/SMC-BBA-Hetauda-Industrial-Visit.jpeg\" alt=\"SMC BBA students on industrial visit to Hetauda Industrial Area\" style=\"max-width:100%;height:auto;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>34 students from BBA 3rd and 5th Semester participated in an educational industrial visit to the Hetauda Industrial Area as part of their research work. Students interacted with industry managers and employees to collect primary data for their research projects, gaining practical knowledge about production processes, organizational structure, quality control, inventory management, and marketing practices. The field visit strengthened their research skills through data collection, interviews, and observation, and helped them relate theoretical concepts to real business practices.<\/p>\n<h3>Industrial Tour: Himalayan Life Plastic Pvt. Ltd., Pokhara<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newstep-nepal.edu.np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/SMC-BBA-Himalayan-Life-Plastic-Tour.jpg\" alt=\"SMC BBA students touring a plastic recycling facility in Pokhara\" style=\"max-width:100%;height:auto;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>An industrial tour to Himalayan Life Plastic Pvt. Ltd. in Pokhara gave 34 students valuable practical exposure to plastic recycling and sustainable industrial practices. Students observed the complete recycling process \u2014 from collection and sorting of plastic waste to cleaning, processing, and manufacturing recycled plastic products \u2014 and learned about waste management, circular economy principles, and environmentally responsible business operations. The visit increased students&#8217; awareness of environmental sustainability and inspired entrepreneurial ideas in the recycling sector.<\/p>\n<h3>INNOVEX 2023 at Itahari International College<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newstep-nepal.edu.np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/SMC-BBA-INNOVEX-2023.jpeg\" alt=\"SMC BBA students at the INNOVEX 2023 event\" style=\"max-width:100%;height:auto;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>BBA 5 students of SMC actively participated in the INNOVEX event organized by Itahari International College, engaging in business competitions, networking sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities alongside students from other colleges. They gained practical exposure to entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, and business strategy, and had the opportunity to interact with industry experts and business leaders. Participation enhanced their confidence, communication, and presentation skills, and inspired them to explore new entrepreneurial ideas.<\/p>\n<h3>Investor Education and Awareness Program<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newstep-nepal.edu.np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/SMC-BBA-Investor-Education-Program.png\" alt=\"SMC BBA students at the Investor Education and Awareness Program with Citizens Capital Ltd.\" style=\"max-width:100%;height:auto;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>29 BBA students participated in an Investor Education and Awareness Program conducted by Citizens Capital Ltd., gaining practical knowledge of Nepal&#8217;s capital market and investment opportunities. The trainer explained investment tools including mutual funds, government securities, corporate securities, and stock market instruments, along with the role of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) in regulating the capital market. The session encouraged students to develop financial literacy and responsible investment habits.<\/p>\n<h3>Intra-College Chess Competition<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newstep-nepal.edu.np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/SMC-BBA-Chess-Competition.jpeg\" alt=\"SMC students playing in an intra-college chess competition\" style=\"max-width:100%;height:auto;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As part of its extracurricular activities, SMC organized an intra-college chess competition to promote strategic thinking and healthy competition among 32 students. Faculty members supervised the matches and encouraged students to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The competition fostered teamwork, discipline, concentration, and confidence \u2014 highlighting SMC&#8217;s commitment to holistic student development alongside academic excellence.<\/p>\n<h3>Guest Speaker Session: &#8220;Entrepreneurial Journey&#8221; with Sarvesh Poudel<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newstep-nepal.edu.np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/SMC-BBA-Entrepreneurial-Journey-Session.jpeg\" alt=\"SMC BBA students at the Entrepreneurial Journey guest speaker session\" style=\"max-width:100%;height:auto;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>28 SMC students gained valuable insights from an &#8220;Entrepreneurial Journey&#8221; session delivered by Sarvesh Poudel \u2014 Founder of Sirius A. Investment Pvt. Ltd., Co-founder of Mellow Chocolate and Vertigo BBQ, and Founder of KSKU Taxi Service. Students learned that every successful business begins with a clear vision, determination, and continuous learning, and that challenges and failures are part of the entrepreneurial journey. The session covered calculated risk-taking, leadership, teamwork, ethical business practices, and how entrepreneurship can create employment and contribute to economic development.<\/p>\n<p>These activities are part of NEWSTEP&#8217;s ongoing work under WP4 (Enhancement of Entrepreneurial and Digitalisation Skills), giving Sindhuli Multiple Campus students hands-on exposure to real business
