Project Description

Work Packages

The NEWSTEP project is divided into seven Work Packages. These work packages are leaded by the partner institutions. The partner institutions assign a lead for the specific work package and the lead, taking support from other participants will be responsible for delivering the tasks.

WP1

Overall Management

Ensures the project is delivered in line with the Grant and Consortium Agreements, coordinating all seven work packages and supporting Dissemination (WP6) and Quality Assurance (WP7).

WP2

Digital Pedagogy

Improves the quality of education by embedding digital pedagogy in online course design – covering curriculum development, a pedagogical framework for online teaching, online assessment competencies, course design and implementation, and digital resources.

Led by: Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS)

WP3

Enhancing Collaboration and Partnerships

Initiates a Nepal higher-education ecosystem and develops cooperation schemes between institutions through an engaging partner portal, applying Turku UAS’s Innopeda innovation-pedagogy methodology and orienting toward student-centric learning practice.

WP4

Enhancement of Entrepreneurial and Digitalisation Skills

Develops active, team-based, learner-centered entrepreneurship and digitalisation skills learning in Nepal – introducing entrepreneurship-based course design and strengthening the empowerment of women entrepreneurs.

WP5

Enhancement of Sustainability-Oriented Strategy at HEI

Helps each partner institution formulate explicit sustainability objectives, ensure their strategy is effective, and integrate sustainability across curriculum (WP2), courses (WP4), and local ecosystem initiatives (WP3).

WP6

Dissemination

Implements the dissemination plan and builds NEWSTEP’s visual identity and public visibility – through the website, publications, promotional materials, and events such as the Seminar on Entrepreneurship and the Seminar on Digital Pedagogy.

WP7

Quality Assurance

Applies good project-management practice alongside WP1, ensuring the quality and long-term sustainability of the project’s impact through internal evaluation.
